I woke up at about 9am and headed off to the doctors, where he called the ambulance…so off I went. Admitted at just before 11am, I had an ultra-sound, which ruled out a gallbladder problem (stones and such). Next, I was shipped off to have a CAT scan…to rule out appendicitis. And then I waited…waited and waited some more. Finally, after having spent about 7 hours at the hospital, the doctor came back and told me that he though that I had an infection in my bowel. What fun, I was finally discharged from the ER and got my perscriptions filled. And I am happy to report that I am home once again.

While a bowel infection is not a picnic … I know … my husband was in the hospital for a week with one several years ago …. I’m glad it wasn’t gallstones! I had pancreatitis a little more than a year ago and had to be in the hospital myself for a week and also have my gallbladder out! Its much better, to say nothing of being CHEAPER … to be able to go home and recover there!

NOW … I must sincerely apologize to you! You have been commenting on my blog and I had you confused with another ‘dawn’ whose blog I have been commenting on! She lives in Germany and that might explain a remark I made to you on my entry about not being a grandmother!

I just couldnt believe how much PAIN I was in, I thought that there was surely something really wrong with me. I am happy to be home, I was getting quite bored and the hospital bed that I was sitting on was really uncomfortable.
Oh, please don’t worry about it. I really am a pretty easy going person. I do love reading your blogs, yours are some of the few that I make a point to read every day if I can.

How did you get a bowel infection? This is the first time I’ve even heard of that. I’m glad that you are home and recooping…Take care.
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it.I dont really know, but I think it might have had something to do with something I ate…that is the only thing that I could think of. The drs didnt know either, but at least it isnt something more serious.

Oh sweety…I’m so sorry. 
I don’t know how bad it hurts but I feel for you just the same and hope that you get better soon. Try to take it easy, if you can.
I am doing a little better, and I was able to eat a little bit of food today. It was not much but it was something. I guess what scared me most was the location and severity (oh no…big words) of the pain. It concerned me and obviously my doctor. I am getting a little better every day.
