Thursday Thirteen!

Filed under: Thursday Thirteen! — dawn @ 2:26 am

As I blog every day, there is one blog (So this is life?) that I usually end up stopping by at least 2 or 3 times. This site has a song (”Live like you were dying” byTim McGraw) that I like, but dread hearing. I know my last sentence really doesnt make a whole lot of sense…but it is true. Since the first time I heard this song, it has made me think of my Dad. At first, I wanted to make a copy of the song and give it to him. Now it reminds me of him.

Add to that the fact that this coming Sunday I will be, um 29….yeah, 29 years old…
this brings me to my…

cool list! I went to Australia for a month…not exactly a deserted island, but laid back enough to be one!

That sounds like a nice trip. Thank you

BTW, #6 is easily accomplished, as is swimming with Manatees. Details available upon request. (snorkle, fins, mask and wetsuit required)

That is a great list. It’s good to put such thoughts on paper. It’s even better to make it public, because that’s the only way we will actually try to accomplish these dreams.

A lot of the items on the list can be done by spending the money. They are easy to do as long as you have the money to fund it!

I prefer lists where the items challenge us to reach perfection….such as learning to love someone you hate, or build a house for Habitat for Humanity. It is only through such character challenges can we really feel a sense of accomplishment.

With that said, of course, swimming with dolphins is pretty cool too :)

I agree that doing service is important and through my church and life I do help others, and do service when I can. I am sure that there are lots of things that I have left to do, but service is not something that I think I would need to add to this sort of list. It is a ‘given’ not something that I dream about and may never have a chance to experience.

I really dont know if I will ever have a chance to swim with dolphins or see a volcano…or even take a trip to anywhere, just because…but I can dream.

Thank you for your comment.
