Thursday Thirteen!

Filed under: Thursday Thirteen! — dawn @ 12:00 am

Well, moving is always a whole lot of fun. This Thursday, I will list 13 things we are still looking for

1. My watch…havent seen it since the move, and I really miss it

2. Socks collar…somehow he got it off before the move. I was hoping that it was just put in a box and it would turn up, but we havent found it yet

3. The salt and pepper shakers…havent found them yet, and they are missed

4. The kitchen scissors…I really miss them too

5. My disc case…I really want to play Civ3.

6. Some of my candles are missing in action.

7. I am also missing some of my china collection, and some collectable plates

8. The little turn table thing that sits under my laptop and keeps it off the table

9. The de-icer for the pond. I know where it is, I just cant get to in…I think

10. The lemon butter seasoning for the fish…seems silly, but the fish just didnt taste good last night

11. My crochet pattern notebooks. I bought some hand spun wool and I am not sure what I want to do with it yet, having those notebooks would help

12. My slippers…my toes are froze

13. The cord for the pencil sharpener. I am sending pencils to school with the kids to get them sharpened.

oh, and last but not least…my sanity, though I havent seen that in a very long time :)

Yes, moving is really very difficult and sometimes losing things or maybe just can’t find it. I’ve learned my lesson there too. Now, when moving out I usually put names on the boxes (kiitchen, living room, bedroom) this way, you don’t lose things.
Thanks for passing by.

We actually did that. but sometimes things get put in a box that wasnt intended…then I am at a loss.

On the last two moves, I haven’t had time to pack. My partner has done the packing. So we are still searching for stuff from moving in April. And I’m also finding broken stuff. I don’t want to move ever again. I need to win Lotto and buy this house.

I hope that the next time we move it will be one of the last moves. I would love to stay here, but as we are renting, I think we will try for our own house in a couple years

I know what you mean. I just moved to TX from HI and I miss alot of things that I had to leave behind. And I can’t find some of the things I thought I shipped, so I guess they’re still in HI.

I’m up too.

I am not sure I would survive a move of that distance. Thankfully, I have managed small moves, usually within only a few miles
