Missy and the snow

Filed under: Cats, critters and other pets, Just Me, Photos — dawn @ 1:25 am

I would like to introduce my newest little feline…Missy

Missy is the first cat that I have had to “rescue”. I went to get her from her previous owners last week and brought her to my home. I am happy that her previous owners gave her up. They either didnt care for her or didnt want her badly enough…they couldnt tell us the truth about this little girl to save their lives. When we first learned of this little one, they said that she was 9 months old. She came in and was a mess…she had been left to sit in her own pee. They also didnt know where any of her paperwork was, so I took her to the vet…that is where I learned that she wasnt 9 months old…and the shelter that she had been adopted from, thought that she might have been adopted by someone entirely different than the people who gave her up. It doesnt matter much anymore anyways…she is safely with us and learning that there are people that love her.

Missy has had a bath and she is a pretty girl, I am going to get some pictures of her really soon and then I will have something to share with everyone. The pictures that I currently have are not all that good…the best one, I have put above.

We have also had a very interesting weekend with tons of snow…ok, it was only 10 inches of snow covered with an inch of ice…a mess to clean up, none the less.

I’ve been reading your blog for a while, and I just wanted to give a big “thank you!” for doing such wonderful things for these animals. We recently adopted another when I found out that one of our ferals was not feral but stray; it breaks my heart to think that there are humans out there who have a chance to love these little furrballs to death and choose not to. So it heals my heart mightily to know that people like YOU are around to remind them that not all humans are doo-doo heads. :)

I am definately tired of seeing these lovely, beautiful, caring animals being treated so badly. But I know that here and in there new homes will treat them well.

Thank you for visiting, I am glad that you come.
