I dont know about most others…but if I had to vote today, I wouldnt want to vote for anyone running for president. I have not heard anything that makes me trust a single one of them.
(not only that, but I dont think it will matter what I…or anyone else…thinks anyway)

At least we actually have some real choices this year as compared to last time.
I suppose, but the state that I am in is highly democratic, so there is no choice here, as the “electoral college” will only side with the dems here. (I am not saying I am going to vote one way or another) I am for the abolishing of the electoral college and letting all of our votes count. We are in the computer age, we should all have the right to have our votes actually count.

The whole primary process is rather silly and outdated.
Iowa and Vermont for starters? Seriously?
On a talk radio show I heard someone say something like the following: Take the nation, divided it up into four quadrants, number them one to four. Every four years, they start the primaries in a different quadrant. So in 2012 if Washington, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, North/South Dakota were in Quadrant One, they’d have first crack at primaries. Then in 2016, Quadrant 2 (NorthEast) would have first crack at the primaries, and Washington would be last.
At least that way all states would be represented to some degree at some time.
And I think we should impeach any politician who doesn’t require a print-out from electronic voting machines.
And I don’t think we should ever have internet voting. Too many risks involved.
I understand the need for primaries (kind of) I think that the quadrant idea is probably the best. We do need to have a way to narrow the field down and the current process is obviously not working.
As for voting, I agree with not using internet voting. But every persons vote should count as a vote for their candiateThe current system is broke. Many states, like my own, are very one sided (democratic in my case). The almost never have enough votes (republican or otherwise) to go against the grain. So the electoral college will go to the democrates no matter what. If all of our votes counted, we might actually have a say…so much for “every vote counts.”
I heard a couple weeks ago that there were states that were wanting to do away with the electoral college. I havent heard anything since, so it probably died somewhere along the way…shame
