I have just recently began getting migranes. I don’t know what to do about them. I also have Vertigo, that’s scary stuff. Take Care.

I started having my migraines on January 15th (or so), 2004. Mine are an almost daily occurance. I would not wish them on anyone. Through the long process of doctors, tests and meds, I have learned one thing really well…See your doctor, and get to a neurologist.I have tried accupuncture, accupressure, herbal meds, massage, chiropractors, Modern meds; and none have worked. I am currently on Amytriptoline and Flexeral, and am treating the pain with Ferinol.I know that going off the Amytriptoline causes a constant unbearable migraine (smart me ran out of meds and insurance at the same time) I was able to get the med refilled and am now back to ‘normal’ which is either starting or ending my days with one.
Anyways, that whole diatribe was to encourage you to harrass your doctors, to the point of nagging if you must. Dont let your regular doctor throw three or four meds at you…They tend to be effective drugs at ineffective doses.
Please let me know how things work out. I am still waiting for my ‘cure’, though I am convinced at times, that will never happen
