I have done a little more work on the buttons here on the site. I took the ‘archive’ buttton off the top menu and put it on the side. I have also added the categories from the previous site in buttons there. Hopefully, to avoid to much confusion the Archive categories from the previous site are not in bold and listed under the “archived~previous site” button. If anyone sees anything else that I should work on or clarify let me know. You can reply right to this post. I will hopefully be able to make the site a little easier to navigate.

An old picture for the new site, Socks gets his honored place again.
Socks adopted me about 3 months ago. In that time we have had mostly ups but a couple downs. One of the downs was when I found out that Socks was FIV+, at first I felt like I had been slapped across the face, but I came home, asked some friends and did some reading online. I found out alot about FIV and that it isnt the death sentence that I thought it would be. I am grateful to my cats vets as well, for giving me the hope that he is healthy and might stay that way.

I said that Socks chose me, and I really feel that is true. Socks came to me after I saved him from the kids in the yard. A couple days later, his previous owners came and got him…I was devistated. A week later however, Socks came around the corner of the building and has not left since. He is a wonderful companion, and for that I am so happy. Truely, he has been a blessing to me and I am not sure what I would do without him.

One week from today (hopefully the ticker is correct now) my children will be boarding their various busses for their first day at school. And what are my plans for that day, you ask? Well, after taking the cat to visit his favorite place, the vet; I will run a couple errands and then I have the rest of the time (free time? what will I do?) to myself!!!

I am going to start a list of what I plan to do when the kids are in school.

Everything is pretty much back in order on the site. It took a little creativity and patching together and as long as the duct tape holds, it should be fine. On the left side there is a menu that links to the Archived Stories from the ‘previous site’ (the stories from last week), as well as More Stories, and of course thethe Photo Gallery. I have learned alot about coding this past week. I still have lots to learn, but it seems that I have done a pretty good job so far.

So, I guess that I can get back to writting about Socks antics and things that are going on around here. I want to thank all my loyal readers for their support, I have really appreciated all the kind words and encouragement.

For now, it is almost time for the weekly library run, where I give my littlest one the chance to remind all the librarians in the childrens department why they love their jobs. TTYL

LOL, I guess it worked!

…So Good.

The photo gallery is up and running, not quite the way we imagined at first, but it works. Now I can add pictures to the site once more, which is good cause Socks is upto his antics again. More needs to be done, but todays goal has been met.

It might take a couple days to get this up to speed, but for now. I have a place to write. Please check back in a couple days and with any luck (we are crossing fingers, toes, ect) everything will be up and running (I would even accept walking) soon.
