Almost an Angel

I love the idea of the Thursday Thirteen, and I cant wait for Thursday! One of my fav blogs!

I have been working on a blanket for my sister-in-law, for her birthday. She likes beach/ocean scenes and lighthouses. So when I found a yarn called ‘ocean’, I knew she would like it. I will be adding this blanket to my Craft Shoppe shortly.

And I found this wonderful box at the craft store where I work…and added the shells just because.

Finally, I added a paper twist bow.

Todays post is going to be short, as I worked tonight and I am really tired. I want to dedicate all the wonderful people that walked through the framing department at the store in which I work. Why is it when you are trying to look for a frame, it is neccesary to take a dozen frames from the shelves, and instead of leaving them where I can find it and put it away, you have to put the frames back in all sorts of places that they do NOT belong? I really dont mind returning the frames that you do not want, back where they do belong. I DO mind the scavenger hunt that is the last hour of my working day…every day.

I also want to thank the Mom, who could not control her children. As I was trying to help her this afternoon, her children were running amuck…in the framing department…with lots of glass…and then they took their shoes off…and started throwing them…and then there was a tube, I have no clue where they found it, but they started hitting the shoes like a ball…Did I mention that this was all in the frame department, with lots and lots of glass?

It has been a really really long week. Fortunately, I do not have to work as many days as I have this week, on a regulare schedule (I hope). I will do my blogging, and post more tomorrow, I am just way to sleepy to do any more today.

Yesterday was the first day of my working week…and I am exhausted. I would really like to write more posts, but I am to tired to even think. I hope that I can get used to working and blogging, but I think it will just take some time. I hope that everyone will bear with me, and check in from time to time.

Yesterday, I had to make a difficult choice that many of us who use BlogExplosion, have to make…Just who to choose as our renter for the week. I had a couple really cool blogs to choose from, but in the long run it came down to the one that got me to read for the longest time.

When did I get old?

For the past two weeks, I have been trying to convince my middle aged body, that I am able to work (energy level, lifting, moving) as I did when I was able to 15 or 20 years ago. What happened in those years? It is not as if being a stay-at-home-mom is “easy”. Sometimes it is more exhausting than I could ever imagine. Kids seem to have that endless energy…little energizer bunnies. I have only been working for 2 weeks and I have not been this tired, drained, exhausted in a long time. My legs, feet, back, arms…heck, I hurt. Next week I am supposed to work 5 (!) nights. During the day, my son will be home as the kids have a vacation week, I will have to entertain him. I can only hope (pray) that I can find enough quiet activities for him to do during the day.

Winter has returned, it is about 9F with a windchill that makes it feel about -3F! I really am not fond of winter and would rather the temperatures never drop below about 50F. Oh well.

Last night, around midnight, it started snowing…and it isnt done yet. So, I decided to take some pictures. I just hope that winter doesnt decide to last till June.
