ATTACK CAT!

Filed under: Cats, critters and other pets — dawn @ 2:20 am

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Residents of a Fairfield neighborhood said that they have been terrorized by a crazy cat named Lewis.

The 5-year-old black-and-white longhaired cat is accused of attacking about a half dozen people on Sunset Circle and even allegedly ambushed the Avon lady.

Neighbors said Lewis springs, wraps himself around victims’ legs and bites and scratches. Several people said that they needed to get treatment at hospitals.

A restraining order has been issued against Lewis. It means he can’t leave his home. The town’s animal control officer has also arrested Lewis’ owner on charges of failing to comply with the restraining order.

Ruth Cisero, Lewis’ owner, said she told the neighbors to stay away from Lewis and he’ll stay away from them.

But neighbors aren’t buying that. One neighbor said that the neighborhood is afraid of this cat.

    For the story, Click Here.

And it seems that one lady is suing the owner of Lewis.

I saw this and couldnt resist. It made me think of little Abby, who I promptly turned to and told her that I was going to sue her for all her little mice and treats if she didnt stop using her little claws on me. :)

(I know that this isnt a laughing matter, but it reminded me of my little Abby and all the scars I am getting from her.)

harassment

ha·rass
(ha·rassed, ha·rass·ing, ha·rass·es)

1. To irritate or torment persistently.
2. To wear out; exhaust.
3. To impede and exhaust (an enemy) by repeated attacks or raids.

My family has been living as virtual prisoners in our own home. I can’t allow my children outside for fear that the local pre-teens, and teenagers will harass and bully them. I can not say anything to the children that are doing this to my children. In fact, according to the police, my only recourse is stay in my home, with the windows closed and the shades drawn…or, I can let my children go out and “experience” the local juvenile delinquents.

It got so bad on the school bus that I and my neighbor chose to take our kids off the bus and drive them to school ourselves. My son has never taken the bus to school, and he definitely will not anytime soon. The school system is still ‘dealing’ with the issue, but after 3 months, but has not been able to resolve the issue.

Today’s events are not really important in this whole ordeal. What is important is that the parents of these children have no control over their children and the children have learned that they can do what they want and are not required to take responsibility for their actions or words. I however, have no choice but to sequester my children and myself inside my home or take my children to a park or friends home in order to let them outside.

I would move if I could…but I can’t. I wish I knew what to do.

Thursday Thirteen!

Filed under: Thursday Thirteen! — dawn @ 2:26 am

As I blog every day, there is one blog (So this is life?) that I usually end up stopping by at least 2 or 3 times. This site has a song (”Live like you were dying” byTim McGraw) that I like, but dread hearing. I know my last sentence really doesnt make a whole lot of sense…but it is true. Since the first time I heard this song, it has made me think of my Dad. At first, I wanted to make a copy of the song and give it to him. Now it reminds me of him.

Add to that the fact that this coming Sunday I will be, um 29….yeah, 29 years old…
this brings me to my…

Thirteen Things I want to do during my life.

1. I want to ride a horse on the beach.

2. I want to live on a deserted island for a month.

Finished Blanket ~ Dead Batteries

As the heading of this post says, I have finished another blanket. This one will be a gift to one of the new moms in my church. I took a picture just a minute ago, but…the batteries in the camera need to be recharged. So, I will get to share that with everyone tomorrow.

Today was a good day for my family to recharge as well. I have had a horrid migraine all day and spent much of the day trying to sleep through it. Eldest child has a nasty cold/cough/sore throat, and the boys, just had a quiet day at home. But tomorrow is back to school/work.

I was looking at this site just a little bit ago, when I realized that I forgot my Thursday Thirteen…so this week I will work on a really good list of things and have it posted on time :) Sorry to those who dropped by and couldnt find my Thursday post.

Cool Kids

Filed under: Parenting and Family (photos), Photos — dawn @ 2:00 am

I have a really cute video clip of my sons school presentation…but I cant get my site to load the clip. And, as it turns out it is big…So I will share one of the digital pics instead, with a little arrow pointing to my littlest one.

ah, one day I will figure this whole thing out and get the little clip for everyone to see, it is really cute :) Speaking of cute, I was one of the ’seamstresses’ that helped make the little girls skirts.
