I have been waiting for this particular Iris to bloom. I had forgotten that I had this color so when the buds started I was shocked to see that they were not white. It is a pleasant suprise.

Today, I am thinking of those who fought for our freedom. On this day of bbq’s and start of summer parties, I hope that each of us remember for at least a minute the men and women who died to make this country what it is today.

The other day I took off one of the necklaces I had made…this one…

…which I have decided is my favorite. I hung it on a bottle of cleaning stuff, in the bathroom. Well, a little bit ago, I went into the bathroom and couldnt find my necklace. I was convinced that someone had taken it and either broke it or lost it. I was a little more than a tad upset and said to husband…”whoever took it is going to be grounded for a bazillion years.” I carried Youngest to his own bed and returned to the bedroom, only to glance at the wall…and my necklace, hanging right there on the little hook…where I had put it last night.

So, I guess I am grounded for a bazillion years.

Oh, there was a massive spider in the bathroom as well, so I am glad that I didnt wake up Hubby for nothing. He is the resident spider killer…and it was really big. I think I need to train the cats to chase spiders.

It has been a Saturday for me. I was able to buy me salad and plant it in my garden (tomato, cucumber, pepper and lettuce plants). I went to the craft store and got what I needed to make a necklace for my daughters grandma, supplies to redo a couple necklaces for my mom, and make a watch band for myself…

I have to get a few things done around the house before bed… but before I do, I want to introduce my new renter.

In Honor of Eldests 13th Birthday…

Thirteen things that Eldest Loves…

1. LaCrosse. This is the third year that she has played LaCrosse and is one of the older girls now. She doing so well, and has even played as a wing. (Those are the girls who can run the whole field)

2. Young Women. This is a group that she belongs to in church. They are a good bunch of girls and have a great time

3. Neopets. Eldest and I both have an account. She is able to talk with her uncles and her friends from school.

4. Civilization 4. She learned to play the game after watching my and her uncle play. She has gotten quite good

5. Lunch Choir. Eldest has been a part of Lunch Choir since early this past winter. She joined because her best friend joined, Now she just loves it and hopes to be in Show Choir next year

6. School. No really, she likes school, and her teachers. I hope that this continues for her. She is doing so well. I am a very proud Mom

7. Friends. Eldest and her best friend dont get to spend alot of time together during the school year. But they make the best of the time they get

8. Reading. Eldest is like me, she loves to read. I hope that this also continues

9. Paleontology. Since Eldest was 3, she has always loved dinosaurs. She cant wait till she is 15, when she can do a summer internship at the Philadelphia Natural History Museum.

10. Settlers of Catan. This is a board game that she really loves to play. She has even gotten Dad to play a board game!

11. Lizzy. Lizzy is Eldests pet Leopard Gecko. like the one on the Geico commercial, the one that licks its eye. Lizzy has been with us for 3 years and should be able to go to college with Eldest. They have a life expectancy of 20 years.

12. Kitties. Eldest shares my love of cats. The only time that she doesnt care for our furry friends, is when Socks kicks her out of bed. Yup, Socks can actually kick her out of bed.

13. Family. Awwwwwwe, What a good kid!

Other than that, I am just trying not to lose my mind. I am switching anti-depressants. So, I am off any of them for 7 days. This is Day 5 and hopefully the homeopathic stess lozengers will help. The headaches have been really bad the last two days as well, which means that I am constantly medicating myself. I called the doctor today, and he assured me that I could take what I need for the pain. Hopefully when I start the other anti-depressant the migraines will drop a bit.

I also took pictures of the Iris’ in the yard. We are having such a great year with them. I am so happy to see all the flowers as they bloom.

I am so happy it is spring. I just love watching the plants, and seeing the beautiful flowers

I have the jewelry making bug it seems. I made this one today, after finding some neat beads.

This word means so much to me right this moment. I turned on the computer this afternoon, and noticed that the Spammers didnt used any moderation while hitting my site again…second day in a row. So, I had to add a ton more words to the list, which means that if anyone is writting a comment to me, you might end up in the awaiting moderation part of my site. I hope that this doesnt stop anyone from making a comment, and I really enjoy reading comments. Once the kids went to sleep, I found myself looking at the bead book that I picked up. I wanted to make something nice, but not to over the top. I had a picture of this necklace, but no directions. The picture wasnt even that good, but it was good enough for me to follow. So here is my second creation

I will have to take pictures tomorrow, it is to dark now for me to get really good pictures.
